From the shores we cleaned to the lives we live—let’s keep the spirit going. On September 19, a dedicated team of SM volunteers from SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown stood side-by-side with the Local Government of Olongapo, schools, private institutions, and the brave frontliners from the PNP, BFP, DRRMO, DENR-CENRO and ESMO.
SM Cares remains dedicated to building strategic community alliances to champion environmental stewardship and protect our vital marine ecosystems. A total of 1,022 kg of waste was collected by SM volunteers during the clean-up.
But the real impact of this activity isn’t just measured by the weight of the trash bags we filled. The true change begins as we return to our daily lives.
The care, respect, and unity we showed on the sand during the coastal clean-up shouldn’t stop there—it needs to stay with us, prospering in our daily choices and inspiring our community long after the shoreline is clear.
